Hyderabad: The long-delayed notification to commence Eamcet
engineering counselling is expected to be issued on August 13. Eamcet
committee is scheduled to meet on Monday to finalise the modalities.
Counselling has already been delayed by over two months due to delay in fixing fees for engineering courses and legal tangle in the AP High Court over management quota admissions. As per the recent HC directions, counselling has to be commenced from August 19.
The Eamcet committee is expected to make a public appeal requesting all political parties, student organisations etc. to exempt counselling centres from bandhs and agitations. Following the agitation in Seemandhra, officials, students and parents are concerned about the counselling.
