PM Narendra Modi explains the relevance of communication at National Youth Parliament Festival Awards 2019

PM Narendra Modi launched a Khelo India App for children and distributed awards at the National Youth Parliament Festival Awards 2019.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi conferred the National Youth Parliament Festival Awards 2019 and distributed certificates to the winners on Wednesday, February 27, 2019. Based on the theme of 'Be the Voice of New India and Find solutions and Contribute to Policy', the festival was organised by National Service Scheme and Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan under the aegis of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. PM Modi also launched a Khelo India App to make sports easy for children. More than 50 thousand youth participated in the event.
Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports and Information and Broadcasting Col Rajyavardhan Rathore (Retd) said that the Prime Minister had inspired to hold the Youth Parliament, and has provided full support for the promotion of sports in the country.

The winners from the national level competition, include:
  • Shweta Umre from Maharshtra is at first position
  • Anjanakshi M S from Karnataka is at second position
  • Mamta Kumari from Bihar is at third position.


Khelo India App

Launched by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, the app motivates young players to gather information about various games. The app is designed for schools and students.
